FEDERAL HOUSE OF REP MEMBERS IN PHYSICAL COMBAT!

Members of the Federal
House of Representatives
today engaged in a free -for-
all fight[Violence and assault]
on the floor of the house as
the Progressives led by Mr.
Dino Melaye opposed to the
embattled speaker of the
house, Dimeji Bankole, tried
to introduce a motion for his
impeachment.



They were
suspended until the end of this
legislative session and a fight
ensued between ‘honourable
members’.
Mr. Austin Nwachukwu who
belongs to the progressives
entered into the chambers
with tear gas canisters and
was severely beaten, while



Mr. Igwe, a supporter of
Bankole had his hand
dislocated.
Mr. Dino too was not free
from the beating as his
clothes were torn in shreds,
while a member Ms. Doris
Uboh collapsed in the
confusion as



Mr.
Independence Ogunewe
escaped through the back
door of the chambers for fear
of manhandling by Bankole
supporters.
