Nigeria captain Nwankwo
Kanu will get his first start for
Nigeria at the 2010 World Cup
when he leads out the team
against Korea Republic on
Tuesday at the Moses Mabhida
Stadium in Durban.
Kanu is one of five changes
from the squad that started
against Greece in the last
game.
Both left backs Taye Taiwo
and Elderson Echiejile have
not been considered fit
enough to start, and Lars
Lagerback has gone with
Rabiu Afolabi instead.
In midfield, Yusuf Ayila comes
in for youngster Haruna
Lukman, with Kanu playing in
the hole between both
midfield and forwards.
Chinedu Obasi, restored to the
line-up ahead of Osaze
Odemwingie, goes out wide
left and Kalu Uche will take
Sani Kaita's place at right
midfield.
Nigeria line-up: Enyeama,
Odiah, Yobo, Shittu, Afolabi,
Ayila, Etuhu, Kalu, Aiyegbeni,
Kanu, Obasi
Is this the Magical Formation?
